Is the virtual world "Second Life" any good as a marketing tool?

    Is the virtual world "Second Life" any good as a marketing tool? :confused:

    It can be very very good. You need to have something to offer them though. Whether it be products there, or some reason... you need to be a second-lifer to really make it in there, too. It's their own little world. Don't get me wrong, you can work on anything and get it going, but for the most part, they can tell if you are a second-lifer or just a marketer there to exploit the economy.

    Only if your site deals with Second Life. You might be able to join a game, tell people about your site, get them to visit, but what is it that will keep their attention? You have to market to the people that are in your target group.

    If your considering Second Life, why not world of warcraft, everquest, dark age of camelot, warhammer online,,,,,? But those audiences are probably only going to be interested in some kind of gaming website.
