I have been debating myself over this question... Does total number of words in a new article or webpage improve SEO? how do you think and how many words you think is better?
Trying not to oversaturate an article/entry seems to be MORE important as a result of my findings. Keyword density with google isn't the main factor for calculating ranking/popularity/etc... May even have negative effects, in regards to SERPS

According to me a 400-500 word article is good enough.Though one must consider that article should be intrest after all content is the king.If you just put in 1000 words but the article is not worth reading its of no use but a 400 word interesting article can get u rich dividends cheers
