Is the tool statbrain.com dead?

5 years ago the developer of statbrain.com mentioned statbrain.com here

Statbrain.com is a website that gives an estimate of the amount of users a website has. It was not 100% correct, but it got better over time. I have checked their stats with the real stats of 12 websites and statbrain.com was pretty accurate in the range.

So if statbrain said 2.000 visits a day, then the real website stats would be between 50k and 70k, but not 150k. So although not perfect, it was a good estimate.

Until October 2009, from that time statbrain stopped updating stats and still uses the same backlink, alexa and other data from October 2009.

I have send over a dozen emails to the developer and none get replied. So perhaps someone here knows what is going on with statbrain?

yep, it is broken for me as well. Why you are interested? There are tens other sites like that or better. I use markosweb.com sometimes for example.

markosweb.com is great for overall info, but not to see the amount of visitors a website has. So far I have not found a good replacement for statbrain.

webground is great for USA traffic based website, it is good for big international websites (with lots of USA based visitors) but it is very inaccurate and just sucks when it comes to smaller (less than 500k visitors a month) international websites.

They should make a version without Compete Rank and Quantcast Rank.

something I dont get, you saying that 25-35 times difference (2k versus 50k/70k) is "good" estimate?
I'm sorry, but IMHO its way way off of acceptable error margin.

My bad, a month was missing.

Statbrain was the most accurate but is dead
    markosweb.com has the most data
webground.com has potential, but is only good for USA traffic.
