You just need some traffic to your site.... it's up to you to get that traffic and you'll have a better success at making money.

If you mean not listen by not " completely reinventing my website into a single landing page with a buy now button". well then screw off im not interested in that type of operation. This is not my job, just trying to make a little extra cash for beer. goal is 400 a month. Chill man. Read the ENTIRE thread again. I have given you the HOW to get traffic/build links. YOU just need to put in the WORK. Stop asking questions and reading the forum and start making. If you don't you won't make it. That I can guarantee.

I understand that i need a call to action...i need to inform the people that they need this product right now....but if every article i post is simply and advertisement like that doesnt it get fishy..? i hear different things from different people

other seem to to say make a 1,000 ads everywere until someone bites.

You use your CURRENT format to make people buy by getting traffic to your site. You said you have like 4 visitors a day to your site. You won't be making sales with 4 visitors a day to your site. I say use your current format but get traffic to your site. Once you have TRAFFIC you can worry about the format.

Look at it like this.

You're trying to figure out how to get a speeding ticket with the chasis of a car. You don't have the tires, drives, gas, motor, etc...

 

k awesome I took your advice, and I did a little social bookmarking experiment...just stumbleupon and reddit alone brought in 341 impressions and 9 clicks on adsense ( no cash though !) and 221 visits in google analytics! so i think im going to just run with that and try to post a new article or topic everyday then social book mark it......

my only dissapointment is that neither of the ads on the pages were clicked once even with the spike in traffic.

I think like others said i need a more direct sales aproach

Also write some articles (point those article to either your landing page or squidoo)

i dont know about keywords, i know that they are a very important part of seo, i just dont know where to put them....like in my articles? do i make like a certain percentage my keywords...or is there some place in the actual back end (html) that i need to place keywords

 

You don't need a more specific sales pitch. look at plentyoffish.com for example. They don't sell anyone on clicking there ads just provide a great free dating site. They get the clicks because they have millions of visitors.

I'm not surprised that you didn't get a lot of clicks from that traffic... social networking traffic tends to be more 'browsing' people.... so you need to capture there attention with your funny, good, interesting articles. Then they can link to your site or send it to others... which will get you more traffic.

Seems like a long process and if you're willing to put in the work you'll make the money.

 

The niche is a very good one - it's actually getting better...things like online dating used to be taboo several years ago, now it's actually very popular. Are you using any pay per lead programs? There are usually some dating type sites that offer good returns when you send them clients who open a free account.

 

Post your site on Twitter, Digg, and other popular Social Networking sites to gain viewers over time
