Is the QueenBee JV Dodgy?

Okies... last year (September) I signed up to the QueenBee JV and even upgraded as a contributor. I paid my money to display offers and after a few days the server crashed and they lost all their member data. That was on 10 September...I still have the emails to prove it.

So I sent in via support a ticket and asked for my account to be reinstated once it was back up. After a week and a half it was, but I didn't have the upgraded contributor status (meaning my name should have been in bold on their list) and it took several tickets to find out what the hell is happening and to get some things back in order. Once it was launched, it was so poor...hardly anyone saw the main offer. That is the OTO that displays once someone signs up. The traffic stats revealed hardly any hits.

So I left it and wrote the expense off as lesson learned.

However, I am still on the person's list and a few weeks back they called for contributors again. Lesson learned, I didn't apply and ignored it.

    Today I receive this email:

    Hi Sarah,

If you are a member/contributer of the QueenBee JV giveaway and
have been wondering whether or not you have wasted your money,
    please don't despair!

Due to a massive hack-attack that took down every site on the
server, they lost everything, including their member database.

If you have paid to upgrade your account, please sign up again
for instructions on how to regain your upgrade.

The giveaway has been substantially extended with more benefits
    for upgraded partners.

QueenBee sends her deepest and most sincere apologies and hopes
you will continue as a member.

Does this smell fishy or dodgy to anyone? Funny thing is last year when the servers crashed they used similar words...especially this sentence:

"...they lost everything, including their member database."

It was the exact same words used last year...but the reason wasn't a hack attack. Then it was just an unexpected server crash. They lost all their member database though.

Sure I can understand that due to overwhelming response people's server will crash... but twice in a row like that?

    Just weird.
