    Hi,

I would like to install on my landind page the order button linked with clickbank order page, skipping the merchant's page.
    I'm using this address:
    http://2.affnickname_vendorID.pay.clickbank.net/

    But I noticed that not always my affiliate nickname appears on the bottom of page. If i go first on my page an then I click on order button that's ok;
but if I try to visit a competitor page and then I come back on my page and click again on my order button, I see the competitor's nickname, instead of mine!

Is this a problem about cookies? I gonna loose sales if I choose this way?

    Thanks

Thats the strangest CB hop I've ever seen??
    When was "pay" added?? Lol
CB urls are "generally" like this:
    http://affid.vendordid.hop.clickbank.net

The method you've mentioned is NOT allowed as per CB's rules.

CB sales are credited to affiliates by aff urls/cookies
The last aff urls(and the cookies that comes with it) are given preference.
So if you go to your "competitor's" page, ofcourse you'll find HIS/HER's url(there his cookie stores in your browser)....
And no, that's NOT a problem of messed up cookies, the problem is your "competitors" have decided to put their url in the link instead of yours, therefore their cookie over-rules yours.

First of all, note that bypassing the merchant's sales page is not allowed without prior approval. Get permission first or, if they find out, your affiliation with the merchant might get cancelled.

As to the cookie problem, whichever cookie is planted last gets the commission. By clicking a competitor's hoplink before proceeding to the "buy" page, you are installing his/her cookie over yours.

    Thanks guys,

    I think I understand.
However there's an affiliates using this CB url,

    http://2.affID_vendorID.pay.clickbank.net,

and the merchant told me i could use this way.
But i think you are right, it's better to follow CB's rules, if this is not allowed.
