Just came across this and it's giving my site a predicted PR5. Is this based on pure speculation, or are the results in some way derived from google?
Hopefully it's some kind of educated guess, wouldn't surprise me if it's just a random guess. In short: dont trust it.
When using http://chkdom.com/ (courtesy iwebtool.com), it states: 'The PageRank shown is a prediction and is retrieved directly from Google.' ???
If you notice alot of the threads about this particular tool, you'll see almost everyone saying things like, "Gee I hope it's accurate, I got 5 new sites, and all are going to be PR 6 or 7." I think this tool is a little on the high side for it's predictions. But we will just have to wait and see.
I have used it on 11 websites during the last update. Guess how many right predictions that tool made? 0
I used it on 20 sites before last update and it was actually right on for 15 of them. I'm using for about 30 this time around, so we'll see how it turns out. For the most part, though, I've found iwebtool the most accurate so far
I pray and wish that these results are mostly accurate. I'll will keep track this time around to see.
Someone posted and said if you take the tools results and subtract one PR then you will be right most of the time. That sounds like a safe guess to me.
Yes, I noticed the same at the last update. I checked two sites with it and both got one PR less than predicted.
I agree that it is not that accurate besides it is just a prediction. I just hope that I will get PR it predicts in the next update.
