I am wondering what every one else thinks about the new Ipod touch. Personally I am looking forward to it and thinking of getting one.

Honestly I'm a technogeek but frankly I really don't care about apple anymore.

I mean the technology is cool and all but frankly when Apple is making 50% profit per item I think it's just a complete money grab and sad for the people that gotta have the latest item and keep putting out the dough.

I have a creative muvo 256MB - it does the job. A little low on memory though.

The one I'm looking at now is the Creative Zen Stone Plus - 2GB plus display, for only. $70 (US).

    Small, cheap, and decent memory.

now that the 8GB iPhone costs same as the 16GB iPod Touch, I would buy the iPhone and get it unlocked.

I agree, I don't think I would get the Ipod touch over the iphone. The iPhone is basically the ipod touch + cell phone. However, I can see someone buying the iPod touch if they already owned a cell phone that they really liked.

    It doesn't have enough memory.
I plan on getting the 160 GB Archos 605 soon. Check it out!

I want one, but I'll wait until they add more memory.

I can't get the iPhone because I'm with Sprint. Plus, I already spent a lot of money on my phone.

Hell yes, it will revolutionize. It's the future of portable music. And relatively cheap, too.

Whoa, that looks like a great product. It doesn't have the cool form factor of the iPods, but it does have a lot more storage, which I really need for my media collection.

In the US there's a company that's doing it for $100. In Australia there's a company doing it for $50. Expect the price to plummet in the next few weeks, as there are several competing unlocking methods that are being refined at this moment.

I agree. I would rather buy an I-phone and unlock (thanks Geo Hotz ;))the phone for a different service than at&t. It has the touch and phone together. But the touch will probably be easier to manage though.

People keep saying get the iPhone over the iPod Touch.

Which is better...crappy cell phone internet, or WiFi? iPod Touch runs all the same apps as the iPhone.

iPhone is $100 more for a phone and crappy cell phone camera.
I'll save $100 and my the ipod because I already have a cell phone with a crappy cell phone camera. A razr...

The ipod touch is going to be just like all the other gadgets and gizmos available today, it will be overpriced and overrated, and not worth anything in five years.

I agree, but a lot of people don't think. They allow the corporations to do the thinking for them. If you already have a cell phone and camera(most of us do) then you really don't need it. But since Apple spends millions of dollars on advertisements, people will be brainwashed into buying something they don't even need.

I can't agree more you have to think logically about buying one. You have to think is its worth it for me. Of course it wont be worth anything in five years because the latest and greatest thing will come out but isnt that how it always is with technology?

iPod touch is the iPhone with no phone service. Of course it will be good, but it will just become another gadget once people get tired of it.
