Is The Internet More Popular Than Television?

According to a new study by IDC, consumers spend twice as much time using the internet as watching television. http://xrl.us/bgqbh

But does that really mean that the internet is twice as popular as television? Apparently so. I had never really thought about it before, but you do you see a lot more people carrying around laptops than portable televisions. And because of the nature of my business, I personally spend considerably more time on the internet than watching television - and so does nearly everyone else I know. So the internet gets my vote.

What about you? Do you spend more time on the internet or watching television?

2 years ago I spend more time on television, but lately everything I do is use the pc to access the web wether to read the news or watch some movies.

 

Yup, I spend time more on internet than watching television.

 

I spend more time on the internet. But that's mainly due to not being able to understand any TV here, as it's all in Turkish.

I only wach footbal games at tv in the rest i don't know what that object does

 

YH i think internet is used more especially as you can watch most programs online

 

of course internet is more popular than tv. i don't watch tv at all..

 

right now i spend a lot having fun outside rather than spending alone on the net and watching tv....

Well if you are looking for entertainment then TV is more power full then internet

 

I work in my room and watch TV( vh1, mcm ).. together, so I thinkTV has its own space and internet has its own.

 

I spend more time for using internet than watching TV.

 

i still more time in front of T.V. than on net....but spending time on net for meaningful purposes is increasing in my time schedule.....DP is making me more skilled netwise....

 

I usually use my computer in front of the tv
if also counting the computer usage at work then it is much more computer than tv.

 

I definately spend more time on the internet than I do watching TV. In fact it wont be long til I watch tv shows over the internet. ;o)

yeah everyone is spending more time on PC in these days, it is much batter then TV, we can talk and meet new people here , but on TV you can just watch.

 

i definitely spend more time watching TV (only because its a lot more comfier on my sofa than my chair in front of my PC, i should get woreless and a laptop!)

 

i agree..after get back home i will turn my pc on and tv also..but will concentrate more on tv
