Is the guaranteed visitors thing a scam.

    Hello everyone,
Just a newbee on DP forum and to the website world so I want to first say what a honor it is to be in such great company. I seem to be trying new things to get visitors to my site and one is the Guaranteed targeted Visitors thing. When I check my stats it seems like there sending 150 to 300 people a day but none resulting in any sales that I know of. I tried the pop under Guaranteed Visitors and it does not seem to be worth it. I have a affiliate only site and I realize its a template website but I have got sales from other things like pay per click but on a low budget it can be expensive. Thanks in advance for any information in your reply.
    Best regards John

    It's always a scam

They will be using some sort of points system for viewing a site - or maybe even autosurf.

They will chew up your bandwidth and you won't ever get a return

Have you participated in their program?
Did you ever find a site in there that you actually liked?
How many uninteresting sites did you have to view before you found that good site?
    Lots?

This is because even in the targetted systems where I say I want tech blogs or tech sites they get into tech areas I have no interest in.

Far better to let people search through proper search engines, directories and natural links.

If you're paying for bandwidth I'd withdraw from all those systems straight away.
If you're not paying for bandwidth, leave them be - you never know, someone using the system might just be interested, just don't hold your breath :)

Its not a scam in that it does send visitors to your site but as you are learning Unqualified Visitors do not equal sales. THe people visiting your site are either paid to visit it for 5 seconds or less or get credit for their own sites.

Either way, they aren't interested in your product and have no incentive to buy or even go deeper on your site.

Instead take that money and use it towards an AdWords campaign...You might get a fraction of the visitors for your money but what would you rather have for your money?

    5,000 visitors and 0 sales

    or

    500 visitors and 20 sales

I don't see how they can guarantee that a certain amount of relevant visitors will be sent to your site, how do they know what joe public will be browsing for on a given day?
This seems to be reinforced by the amount of spam I get in my general inbox offering services like this, any decent service would't need to send unsolicited emails to gain business.
I decided not to bother with them anyway as, like you said, 300 visitors is irrelevant if none of them are actually interested in your content.
Thats my two cents worth anyway!

Even if the traffic isn't automated (and it probably is) why would a person paid to visit thousands of sites per hour stop off to buy something at your site?

These programs make no sense at all.

I would suggest to optimize your site, it will increase visitor retention rate as well.

there is no quick easy and cheap way to get sales...if there was everyone would do it. sales come from a well thought out marketing plan with the correct mix of marketing sources. and advertising cost money, its very hard to start out with nothing... IMO you really need around $5k to start a site and advertise it. if you have less than that your under capitalized.

It is right all of these websites that say guranteed visitors.. They do what they say. But the problem is how do they give us visitors?

Have you ever heard about autosurf system? It is a way to steal your bandwidth and no visitors will see your website..

I have always had zero luck with traffic sites - If you cannot afford adwords try the second tier ppc services
