I dont really get it, why would I sign up to your site if there is myspace, facebook, etc, whats better about your site than theirs? I think it would have to be much better than existing social networking to be successful
I was going to make the same point rowen77 did. I am guessing that you view the "gold" as the selling point, though you also mention not having adverts stuffed down the users throats. I think you need to be more more convincing about why someone should join yet another social network.
As has been said numerous times, its a bit confusing about the sites exact features and why joining this site is better than joining one of the many other, more well used social networking sites like myspace and facebook. Aside from the vouchers, of course. Given all the popular networking sites, if you want yours to stand out from the pack your really gonna have to get some unique creativity and unique features for your website that others dont have. The amazon vouchers are a good idea and are one such thing, but dont stop there! Maybe some sort of easy chatroom feature if you dont already have one built in, where you can quickly and easily chat with other members of the site. The layout is a little strange (to me) as well, but maybe thats just me, and it doesnt grab my attention, as in im prolly not going to remember having ever visited this site in an hour or two. The mainpage also seems sort of cluttered, or just confusing to me?? Maybe im just easily confused lol. Sorry I cant be of anymore help. You really gotta look for unique features that will make your social networking site have advatnages others do not.
