Is the friendship link must be in the homepage?

I have a new site, just a few months, I want to do some linkexchange, but I don't know if the friendship link must be in the homepage? If not, is there any effect to PR?

the answer to your question is it depends. if you have a link from a blog or ezine that is on a popular network that will be a good quality link. if you have a link from a domain's subdirectory link page that has little traffic and no PR thats not going to help much.

 

I would advise simply do not have a link exchange.

They are a bad idea - Google will penalise you quickly.

 

You said that your site is new, so you don't need to worry about your PR juice if you don't have any PR for this site yet.

However If you do, and still concern about whether or not to put it on your homepage,

just do a "no-follow" tag for the link. Very simple...
