How can you tell if a specific directory is part of the ODP?

Only DMOZ.org is PART of the ODP...

All directories using their content SHOULD have a link back to the ODP however...

They are not actually PART of the ODP however.

If it doesn't say ODP on it it isn't it. If its entiled eODP it aint the Open Directory Project. You find the right one at www.DMOZ.org . Don't forget that hundreds of sites down load and use our data. If they are doing that legally they will have attribution on each page and links to take you to DMOZ.org for becoming an editor or adding a site.

Can I just ask why you ask?

It is my understanding that if you are going to be listed in a directory you want to make sure that it is part of the ODP or dmoz.org, correct? It is supposed to be better from waht I understand?

Then you will find the ODP at www.dmoz.org no where else.
