Is the cheque accepted by ANY bank?

I had a discussion with a friend of mine about Adsense...

and I have a question for you guys about Google Adsense Cheques...

We want to know if the cheque you receive from google could be changed into cash by any Bank worldwide, or is there any restriction ?!

I am receiving google adsense checks of CitiBanks. In general, you can deposit the check in any bank account. After that your bank will send that check to the citi bank in your country for the fund clearance.

I am from india, Chennai. One of my friend got his cheque in out country currency - Rupees. He deposited in the bank and he got the money is just one week to his account ,,also the cheque is from citi bank ..
