Try inputting ads in between posts. As well, use a display ad network instead of standard text ads, because users just pass over text ads that blend in too well.

    Try Freedom of Ads. www.freedomofads.com/register

Yep, AdToll.com offer image banners and video, which could attract more attention as well.

Definitely. Since AdToll offers Run of Network options, you could try out AdToll for a few days and see your eCPM. Then, use the Freedom of Ads pass-through system to set your minimum CPM rate at 1 cent above the AdToll eCPM.

Finally, input the AdToll source code into our control panel. This way, you'll make more money than Freedom of Ads or AdToll alone.

Try AdBrite, works pretty well on forums and has inline ads too, which pay very well, sometimes their inline ads pay 1$.

They also have Full Page Ads, perfect for blogs and a great money maker. It can earn you 0.01$ per visitor!

As you can see there are so many options, you can even run an AdToll group and use the default feature to run Freedom or adbrite or whatever you would like.

    Good luck.

whooped, I like your pass through feature.

I've really noticed people pass over text links. I tried to use them at first to make them less annoying but I wasn't getting anywhere.

Mmm.. Try adbrite. It works well for forums. Also i recommend CPM programs for forums since your CTR will be low unless the ads are really related to your forum content.

If you are using CPC programs make sure you place them such that users notice them(try changing the placement and colors, keep testing untill you get it right). Inline text ads won't work too well, but then again that depends on the content of the forum

    Good Luck :)
