If a scammer cheated you on the internet and you opened a new topic here in DP forums to warn all users and got this page indexed so when someone google this scammer he gets this warning.. is that against DP forums? will I get banned?
It would be wise that you post the information in your blog / other blogs and perhaps open a thread to enquire if others have been cheated as you were -- with ref to your blog post, that way, you don't violate any rule. Make sure though that you have enough ammo - or you may get caught in a legal tangle !
Sign up for one at Blogger.com, put the scammer's username in the url, and make a post about what happened. It'll show up if someone googles their username. Add it to your signature if you're really bitter.
It is against the rules but it really depends on who you accuse. I seen some scammer threads closed right away and I seen others stay open for ever. It seems to be who you know and who you are friends with.
I wish I could give you mines, But it was done by PM, I got cheated of a member of this Forum, Username on my sign, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1007667 For 30.00 bucks for a video script, He was not able to get it working .. He knew and fail to tell me, When the money finally clear from paypal and he accepted the money, He game me the Admin password as promise and went to work on the site and add some videos, guess what, It did not work as expected, Instead of receiving a 404 error page, I was automatic taken to another site with the same script that work.. I have told him about the problem, Well dont take my word, Just read my sign and you could see for yourself.. He try to offer me free hosting so we would avoid giving me a refund.. I refuse and that was the end of the PM, So being I did not pay for the script but a business account pay for it . So why not let it be treated as a business fraud, So currently im in the process of filling a lawsuit against him and the site which my visitors and myself was being redirected.. The funny thing is the 30 bucks I loss is nothing , Cause I just see it as a investment, 30 bucks , Lets see what the courts will turn that 30 bucks into.. So I left the script alone, Change the name of the directory and pay someone for the same script he was able to install it, Now this is where he mess up, He said it was cause my hosting, But it can't be the host if the script is working now .. It's just show me how stupid people could be, and me im the biggest one by trusting people here like family and sending them money to do a job ahead of time.. I have PM few guys here to help me on a project and never had any complaint, and if not some all got more then what I offer them.. So im not a bad guy at all, But it just piss me off when people take me for online sucker, what ever you call those people.. but dont worried, I will post results here and the guys real name when the paper are filled.. stay safe everyone, and hope no one get scam .
I hope is not the case cause this site could really be in big trouble if they have proof member are doing scam and not doing anything, and just taking side with the scammer with proof in hand ..
I don't think you are allowed. I think personal biases are not to be made into threads. Maybe there is an allowance for transactions made in DP(if you have enough proof). Best advice- You better check with the mods about this.
She's mentioned that she got scammed on internet. I don't think she got scammed here or else she would have alteast mentioned the person/thread or atleast the term 'DP'
Well I got scam, Proof is in the thread and PM , DP wont get involve cause they say is bias ? what is bias ? someone scamming you and you blowing the cover, Is that Bias.. Now I understand yes, If here had something against the other DP and just making up stuff, But when you have legal documents and proof of the scam ? why will they allowed the member to continue on scamming users out of it..
It is against the rules to make scam reports in ANY section. The correct way is via iTrader, and the users thread.
