    We can't say edu.pl as tld, its a subdomain with .pl as main domain

    Don't think that someone will get Google's consideration in terms of s.e.o

    Not all but yes most of them are ... free ones are like: co.cc, uk.to, us.to etc...

    yourname.google.com is also a subdomain but its can't be free, infact you can't own it
