I'm suggesting to start template selling site. Has anybody have experience in doing such business? I'm realize, that may be some successful owners do not will share their knowledge (due to concurrency awareness), but may be some suggestions will be helpful. Is anybody use such sites and can say some recommends (content, prices). Thanks.

I think it's good business but you should invest a lot of money into good templates and wait a lot of time before your site will be established in search engines. Competition is very tough. Also you can bring some unique business strategy that will make your template store better then hundreds of other or make it focused on one kinf of templates because you can't beat templatemonster store selling all kinds of templates. Good luck.

Take a look at the others and see what you can bring that is different. I checked out a few and after awhile you see the same look in all their templates.

It’s a great business if you can compete with the competition. Just make sure you are unique and stand out above the crowd and you will do fine. And the most important thing is to ALWAYS over deliver.

In my opinion it depends on what the templates are for... the way I see it, the type of people who are likely to need to purchase a website rather than design it themselves are also the ones who most likely use a pre-packaged script for their site (ie Wordpress, Drupal etc etc)

So, if you can design and code templates for those types of sites you could probably make some good money (depending on how good they are, of course)

Yes i would say that this would be a good business but the only problem, is that the market is tottally over saturated, so you would have to have the best templates to be on top.

It's a good business if the template is niche-specific. Maybe provide specific "seed" content that is customized.
