I am looking to host my sites on different IP addresses. There are 2 options with me First is to take seo hosting services that provide with multiple IP address facility Second is to find hosting services manually and take individual hosting accounts The first option is easier while the second option is all hard work and lots of hosting management. From a cost perspective, the second one could be expensive too. I think, google algos could some day target such seo hosting services and screw up the lives of all customers (the way they have done for all link placement agencies) In the backdrop of this, the second option looks better, safe, durable and long lasting. What are your thoughts on this ? Please share any other views you might hold.
Hi aspire. As a hosting company representative I would suggest using the second option. Besides the pros you described consider the following points: 1. You're not putting all your eggs in one basket. Possible problems with one hosting should not affect the projects hosted elsewhere. 2. Flexibility. Different projects may have different requirements. If one hosting doesn't fit some requirements for some project, you can immediately have a list of the other verified and actual hosting services that may provide what is needed for the specific project. Suggestion regarding hosting management when using different hosting companies: Choose the hosing services with the same control panel (I would recommend cPanel) if possible. This way hosting accounts should work in the same/similar environment/interface. Plus it should be much easier and faster to transfer the accounts between servers/providers.
Even with option 2, you are bound to be penalised by Google. It's not a question of "if", but "when". It could happen during an investigation carried out gy Google, or it could be during the next algorithm update. The reason is that Google does not like sites promoted via SEO link sites. So your clients, or your own promoted sites, will suffer as well.
What the **** is "SEO Hosting"?!? What the blazes do IP addresses have to do with SEO?!? Is this some new scam artist BS that the SEO-tards are talking out their backside with?!? The way the entire original post in this thread is worded reeks of a complete lack of knowledge of what SEO is, what hosting is, or even what websites ARE!!!
Well, it's hosting for black-hat / grey-hat SEO "specialists". Or to be more specific, it only needs to be used by people who create link farms / blogs. That's because supposedly, SEO hosts ensure that all IPs are unique, tricking Google and Co. to think that the sites are unrelated. What these people don't realise is that as soon as Google and Co. become aware of these sites, the link farms and the client sites that were ranked higher as a result will vanish from search results.
@aspire Whatever is labeled as "SEO Hosting" is just websites hosted on different IPs. However, Search Engines rank websites in the SERP based on the website usability and the information it offers to the public. So you'd better host on different web hosting accounts, but not for the sole purpose of SEO. In order to get good rank any website has to offer a quality content, to be visitors and regular users who appreciate it.
