In my opinion, Nofollow directories are not worth it unless you have a directory that would bring you traffic. Some regional directories might bring you that traffic but not general directories.
you shouldn't. its just a waste of time. before you submit your link, see to it that the sites are dofollow. and i recommend to submit your site to directories that has high PR. there's many internet. just be patient to look for it.
To be completely honest, I am still not sure what the point of a nofollow link is. It really defeats the whole purpose of the internet which is to link. I realize people institute nofollows in an effort to avoid passing link juice. But what they really do is circumvent the purpose of the link in the first place. You're now relying 100% on an actual person finding, clicking on and following through to that link. That's not a bad thing. I'm just saying you're losing out on the indexing and indirect traffic that results when links are properly listed and routed from one site to another. The only time I can see a nofollow as being useful is when webmasters use it as a way of keeping link spammers from taking unfair advantage of the links and link juice from a given site. Short of that I see no useful reason to use a nofollow.
The nofollow attribute is abused beyond comprehension these days. If you have a link on a page about "widgets A" and that page links out with no follow to a page about "widgets A related" in a natural form. I would hope Google would see that as some form of link abuse trying to preserve their own PR.
Typically nofollow, means just that, so do some digging and see if they would bring you traffic and if they will, then why not....
nodofollow links also give added value but these will not be considered as a backlinks. Finding dofollow is little bit tough at present.
I will go ahead and submit my 'local business' to a directory if it can send leads and traffic my way - no links required If it's a 'general' web directory, I will spend my submission time only if I get a dofollow link. Regional, niche directories would be an exception (as I already said that).
