I have a few squidoo len's. While I haven't received a lot of traffic from them, it's something and I have earned a few bucks in the process.

best place to attract members of a forum is digg in my experience, stumble upon too. social bookmarks since they can influence their friends in joining, the forum have to be a good place to waste 15 minutes of your time though cause if not that would suck big time and no one will join

Mmm... Most likely, both the traffics should be good. Basically, stumble upon brings relevant users only, but it might be possible, people might not genuinely be interested in the exact subject that you offer. Squidoo ppl are already aware of what you have written on the lens

squidoo is a great tool for promoting your site. you will not get instant flood of traffic, but your lens will rank higher over time and will have its own PR which will help boost your forum's SERP ranking

Squidoo is great, sometimes my Squidoo lenses outrank the regular web pages I try to promote with them.

I don't like Squiddo. I wasted a lot of hours there for maybe 15 visitors. I had an attractive lens with quality info and video's. What a waste, for me.

Squidoo is great for directing traffic but, to make a good Squidoo lense you have to dedicate a lot of time to updating and promoting it, in the same way you would your original site. It's a great tool though and one that can be used to capture relevant traffic if you keep it updated and promote it using other sites - bookmarking sites, lists etc

I would choose Squidoo if I already have a good popularity on Squidoo, but if I am new to squidoo it would take more time to see any results

    Hi,

I have one question concerning squidoo, digg and simillars...I launched my affiliate site about penis enlargement 1,5 month ago, so is it worth to promote my site on these pages?

    Cheers...

Hi, well i would rather ask you to avoid such stories. These simply are apparently spamming types. So it is rare that you would have a lot of diggs, and thus hardly any traffic

Squidoo is great but the key is getting it on google. There are only so many squidoo users that will view your lense.

so does it mean I shouldn't try squidoo and digg, because as I said I have PE site, so its not some kind of blog which I could promote for new articles on it.

see, basically, as you yourself have said, digg has stories. So this now becomes more of an advertisement rather than a genuine story. Try something else. Post a story, which says Mr. XX has 7" penis!! And then put an ad under it. Try using any of the free blog services. And I think you should be on your way to making some sales on it. Do remember to write a genuine article on your blog!!

Ok, as my site is still new (1.5month old), I am still into link building by submiting articles and url on directories, but in the near future I hope to start with my own blog which will be related to PE.

Squidoo is amazing for link building. Create the lens about your site and link it to your site. You control the links and what pages of your site they go to, and what the anchor text is for each link. Plus Squidoo will pay you to do it!

Creating a Squidoo Lens, or a one page web site has its advantages for web article promotion.

Using the Squidoo process can teach you how to focus your writing, how to promote your writing, and yes, it can even bring you page views. The upside is that you can also make a little bit of extra money at the same time.

there is also lots of benefits from Squidoo just you need to find and use some techniques.

    Thanks

    Eric
