Is Squidoo Dying? Google Rejects Squidoo Pages Due To Spam

For those of you who swear by squidoo, you need to read this article I came across.

I guess all good things must come to an end, people abused a good thing, squidoo didn't tighten the reins to control the black hat abuse and now it might be bye bye squidoo as an effective traffic generator.

 

Squidoo will be back. As with all expanding, free technologies they had some problems with people taking advantage of their tools. They have recently made many changes to combat spam. Google will be back on board with Squidoo soon - in fact I'm already seeing an increase in my Squidoo lens rankings on Google.

 

I agree. I can see that squidoo is implementing new methods, tools, and policies to reduce spam. I think it is just a matter of time before they are google's darling again.

 

They better come back.....at least for the people that sell squidoo lenses ^^

 

Heh heh! FYI, the most I have ever sold / purchased a squidoo lens for is $20 So, it is not a big business Think of it more as a cleaning up and rationalizing of existing inventory

 

This is interesting news, but then again some people will abuse such things

 

very interesting....squiddo was good back in the day when I first used them and now its just way too much

 

I wasn't familiar with the SEO effects of squidoo. But recently I came across a post from a guy who was selling links or articles or blurbs or something on his lenses. He had 20 and he wanted $200. He must not have read that article yet!
