I made many lenses, put lots of content in and my affiliate links, With the best one I made it to 300 lens rank overall, which I thought was quite good. It got about 40-50 hits off Yahoo a week a further 50 a week off me posting in forums and that, no traffic off Google. No sales at all upto date off anything and the share in adsense is something and nothing. I just wonder if anyone actually makes anything off these lenses?
I think it may be good to build some relavant links to your site for you long tail keywords using squidoo. I haven't made any real money though.
For links it seems ok, but I have no traffic from it and I've not earned a dime on any of it. Maybe I've benefited and just haven't realized it though.
Didn't Google penalize Squidoo recently for too much spam? Anyway... I don't see Squidoo lenses often when searching in Google...
Some people claim to earn good money from it.. though not very sure.. they have started a new product named as 'Squid Who'. This is sort of about famous people pages. You can set up your own page by selecting some celebrity or a famous personality.
i range from about $15-$35 a month from squidoo. Nothing special. Money can definitely be made if you put a lot of time into it though. Some people are paying their rent with squidoo. Squidoo has also taken many steps to eliminate the spammers, so Google is starting to let them back in its good graces.
I've made a whole $1.84 !! Someone told me how to make money with squidoo using their technique...just learned of it today. I am implementing their technique today and will let you all know if it works(takes about a week to start seeing results) and how it was done.
Squidoo lenses have started showing up in Google again. A few of mine get regular traffic from Google, one fairly new one started getting traffic in about a week. Jay
Hi, you need to do some onpage optimization just like you would for any webpage. Target long-tail low competition keywords and you can get good ranking in the search engines. I have been making quite a consistent regular income from some of the lens I put up. Have not made a dime yet because their payout structure has requirement of a $10 level. It certainly takes a lot of time and effort to make so little.
There are a few strategies you can have with Squidoo...one of which is to have many lenses that have a lower rank than 100k so that you get adsense sharing. Although it's just pocket change per lens, it really adds up when you have 3-4 dozen lenses...plus, adding in whatever affiliate sales you've made.
