Is Squidio.com a tm issue?

I am thinking of developing Squidio.com as a general blog/article site that covers many different themes but the similarity to squidoo.com is playing on my mind, is it likely to be a trade mark problem?

    Many thanks

I would not mess with it, too much brand related confusion. Its bad for both of you. But mostly you.

Great way to get sued very quickly. Take it from someone who knows how expensive it is to defend a trademark/copyright suit even when you win.

Your motives are obvious. Trying to benefit from brand confusion. You will get picked clean in court or just get shut down.
Not worth the time. It will just end badly.

Thanks for the advice guys, with the tm thing in mind I am not going to develop it, I have enough stress in my life without having to worry about that sort of thing, I have swapped it with the person I got it off for another name that should be safe to develop.

    Thanks again

I don't think so. This might lead to copyright issue.

You did the right thing. Big companies/sites do eventually chase after the little fry. It happens all the time in say things like movies sites, although that's a different legal issue. Jus saying that even those under the radar aren't immune forever.

Way too close, and not even a good typo. Don't bother.
