Is something wrong with google?

Hello, this might be just my experience, but for the past several hours I've been getting redirected from google's organic results. Every time I make a search in google, when I click on the result links, I'll get redirected to a site that has nothing to do with the actual text or displayed links.

I believe there must be a problem, anyone else noticed?

definately a spyware which is redirecting you to another site. Ads based spyware sucks.

Sounds to me like you may the same site(s) at home and at work that have spyware. Try clearing all cookies and your cache.

is your ip static or dynamic? Google sometimes bans ips that it assumes are proxies. Sometimes if you do a lot of search requests it will automatically ban you for a few hours, then it will ask you to confirm yourself with capatcha.

All I know is that the google results lately have been miserable. I was searching for "crafts" today and most the sites seemed to be blatant amazon affiliates and useless sites. searching for "gardener" yielded sites not updated since 2004 with dead images all over them. Kinda crazy.

the adware and spyware companies are pretty clever, you might need to try some different adware removal programs as it is possible your software is missing something

    glad you found it

That points out how big the spyware problem actually is, even computer savvy people may be infected without realizing it.... and they get lulled into thinking they are ok because the antivirus software programs they are using might miss it.

There are so many evil companies out there that have banners that you click and then they want you to install a codec or toolbar or something.

I avoid any banners that have Zango on it or other various companies.

It is a big problem out there... think of the average computer user, they get infected by spyware and might never figure it out until they buy a new computer and then the cycle starts all over again.

One thing is never install any software or codecs from sites that tell you to do it to watch a video or something. Never install toolbars. Be very sure of the program source before installing anything. Run more than one anti spyware and anti adware programs.

definately spyware or some browser object that is redirecting you...its not surprising that it happened at work and home since you probably visit the same sites.
