    is social bookmarking helps to improve ranking or its only to get more traffic...?

    Please guide me..what should be considered to social book marking.. and where i can do social bookmark...?

    It goes both ways.

    If it is giving dofollow link, then it will help you improve SERP ranking.

    Basically, it is to get instant traffic and if you able to get on main page or top stories board in some high traffic SB sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, etc, you can see huge number of traffic referred.

    Mainly increase the backlinks to your site and if the PR is good for social bookmarking sites you will get good rankings in search engines and traffic is depends upon the popularity of the social bookmarking sites.

    links from follow social bookmarking sites will help with backlinks & in turn with rankings while other bigger sites which keep the links nofollow can help with generating traffic but won't help in site's rankings, so it depends which one of the 2 you are aiming for...

    If backlink from social bookmark site is indexed by google then you can gain backlink, sometimes google doesnt index backlink from run of the mill social bookmark site. you can gain some traffic if people visit those sites and click through but everybody is busy with the majors like reddit and digg. You can use tools Traffic Bug to automatically submit to many social bookmark sites on autopilot.

    social book marking increases your keyword's serp very fast .......... try to post in high pr do follow social book marks and it will bring huge traffic towards your website

    we have been doing social bookamrking for month and testing on certain keyword, and our charts shows a 20 + improvment on SERP so its great way build links, but only do follow social bookamrks.
