I'll keep it short and specific: I am planning to launch a community forum and was doing my research for weeks. Last week, I was almost ready to go with SMF until one of my friend (who has years of experience in running & managing VBulletin forums), told me that free forum scripts are "not safe/not secured". So please help me out. Is SMF script good enough (from security point of view) for me or should I wait and save pennies for VBulletin or IPB? Or if you know about any other secure and featurefull forum script (free preferred), please do let me know. Many thanks,
