Hello Friends, I established a new blog last month and you can have a look at it over here : www.websack.net I hosted the site on a Free Host and then after a week, I realised that the site is taking a little longer time to load. So, I switched the site to GoDaddy Deluxe Hosting. Now, everything is fine. But, The Google's Webmaster Tools is showing error while crawling the pages included in the sitemap. My sitemap is working fine and you can take a look at it at www.websack.net/sitemap.xml . I have tried everything I can and I have asked a lot of people, but, nothing was helpful. So, now, I feel like giving up. But, I am not at all receiving any traffic from Google since I changed my host. Now, I am little afraid of my site going out of Google's SERPs and I may not even get a Page Rank if that happens! Please... Help me... Thanks in Advance...
My sitemap is whack, and has never worked, and always had an "error" according to G webmaster tools Still PR 5 and lots of PR 4 and 3 internal pages and top 1, 2 and/or 3 for most competitive search terms in search on google. So somehow I don't think it's prerequisite to have a functioning sitemap. But am doing this all trial and error and don't know what I'm doing
Having a sitemap facilitates the indexing of your site pages by the google but it is not a must. Rectify the error in the sitemap.xml file and see that your pages are indexed faster and in turn will get traffic from google if found competitive.
