I agree. Those websites that are 4+ yrs, if they had relevant, search worthy content from the start, will pull rank off of lots of other positioning factors. Good luck gaining ground over these
if you can't beat your competitors on "site-age", then you must focus on any other else that still possible.
I didn't notice this before... I though the site age cannot matter the PR... But after reading your comparision and the replies above... Site age matters in google..
webste age a mainly google but some time i saw a more sites very old age a site no PR lose if lose a PR but new updation of PR all PR back that site. So I think OLD AGE main factor is Google................
I think the age of a website is also count for the search results positions; page rank and content relevancy are also important factors. Thanks
google said they have 200 algoritm factor at webmaster tool, if you lose at 1 factor (age) you can still beat your competitor with 199 other factor.
Yes Site age does matter as said by google themselves Also the age of the backlinks matter. An older website will most certainly have older backlinks. Thus all things equal an older site will beat a newer site on the above 2 counts
Age of site definately important for PR but not for SERP.....Becuase if you see any popular niche keyword's search results in Google, just digout what is the age of the first 4-5 sites. I have reaserched on this & found that as many DP members mentioned, there are many factors responsible for SERP such as Keyword, Unique content, Meta tag, title & Quality backlinks form High PR sites. Some times very few factors are make possible to surge the SERP. So this is a reason that many sites have low PR they found top in SERP & High PR in bottom. So if you want High SERP then first do the best on page SEO then off page SEO. ubs .
