Is seting up MU wordpress is difficult?

while checking out MU wordpress the readme file scared me.
    It says that
I am not coder nor a developer, I dont know any script or language. :(

    BUT,
I've done many complex jobs so do you think it really needs coding etc. if there's tutorials & help/support/ walkthroughs, can I get away with that?

Is it really that tough? I want opinions who've used wordpress MU... as I dont want to take risk.
Basically I am forming a community where I'll offer each of my member a sub-domain with blog toolkit.

It depends on which host are you on.
Cos it requires specific settings for php.ini and httpd.conf

You can't these files in a shared server i think.

I am thinking of godaddy for shared hosting.
I also know someone who use MU wordpress & on shared hosting & praise dreamhost a lot.

for some reasons I dont like dream host. ...

PS: I think I can edit php.ini or httpd.confi if there's howto & help readily availble. I think I did modified them last year...

The main problem is hosting. It will (probably) take quite a bit of CPU and memory from the shared host, and in the case of Godaddy, etc, you'll probably get suspended when you get somewhere...

I think the readme is basically saying "if you don't like keeping up-to-date, go elsewhere". The coding part would be modifying the script, i guess...
