Is SEO that important for article marketing????????

Hi everybody

I'm newbie and still can't generate any money from clickbank because of getting untargeted hops. I have a question regarding article marketing, is it important for the articles to get high ranking on google in order to get a lot of views and sales??? The problem is that I don't have the talent to write articles so what can I do is just rewriting PLR articles and publishing them to ezinearticles....so do you think will this work or I MUST do the regular keyword research and article optimization?

 

I doubt you'll get high rankings in google on articles unless they are pretty long keyword phrases...

I think most of the article views are from people looking for articles ON ezinearticles.

 

It's always best if the articles are unique, and if you built some links to those articles, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt

 

I don't think articles can get you enough traffic
Not even from ezinearticles

I put appropriate anchored links to the site
I want to promote !!

 

I think also that most views come from the site itself as it has an obvious and powerful google search box

Aren't all articles on ezinearticles unique??? do they accept duplicate content??? Is social bookmarking enough to build some quality and free links??? are there other easy methods??

 

I will use the articles for the purpose of advertising affiliate products in the authors box and direct visitors to my landing page which links to the sales page

I'm not sure I understand how your hops could be untargeted with article marketing. For instance if you've written an article on muscle building, and your resource box sends the visitor to a muscle building site/product then your hops would be targeted.

For me it's very important - it can be the difference between earning $25 per month and $500 per month with just one article. If your article is on page 1 of Google then you're much more likely to get lots of traffic and make sales.

Rewriting PLR is fine, but you must still do keyword research and article optimization even for rewritten PLR articles. You should always include a long tail keyword phrase. Basically if you don't do at least some SEO you're seriously leaving money on the table. Article marketing can be a complete waste of time if you don't do it right.

 

The traffic I generated was from youtube and it wasn't very targeted that's why I didn't make any sales

I HATE the thing called keyword research. everytime I try using any of the tools of keyword research, I can't get ANY long tail keyphrases that's why I think keyword research sucks balls! I got fucked for years trying to get unsaturated keywords and I fail miserably

 

You need to write a lot of articles. That would do the trick. Try writing 100 articles, you will definitely see some results

 

How many sales do you achieve with 100 articles?

 

Last month was my first attempt with article marketing (been cbing both bum and ppc for almost a year) and it worked well. A few good backlinks and my articles hit top 1-3 spots for long tail keyword. Takes like 2 minutes worth of SEO for each article. I have only 10 articles promoting 1 product (sort of my test) and I've made 12 sales in the last slightly more than a month. Not bad for a sort of set and forget campaign. I plan on writing more regularly soon.

Another question, is it really necessary to submit to all those directories?
I understand its best to submit to the Pr5 and Pr6 directories but all of those?

 

It isn't necessary to do all those directories. Typically people only do the few big ones like ezinearticles.com and articledashboard.com

 

2 minutes of SEO? Dont know a lot about SEO but sounds incredible, how do you do it? What do you do to Optimize?
Also, about the backlinks, how do you get those? Where?

It would depend on your niche and the topic that you wrote about.

 

Its because typically for a long tail keyword an EZA will be on page 1 anyways because its an authority site. I only put like 2-4 backlinks at each article (which takes like 2 mins) and they get one of the top spots easily. EZA rank well, google loves them.
