    Although directories don't pass so much traffic but they are an useful way to get one way link :)

    It a good method to get back links but today a lot of forums will ban you when they will see a link to your website in your signature.

    SEO score is always important, no matter if you are talking about a directory or a gaming site. Cause, people could find you only when you have a high ranking in Serch engine results. So in order to pull maximum traffic, every site must be properly optimized for search engines.

    Everyone misunderstood the question from the OP. He is asking about the seo score on domaintools. I don't think you should place much importance on automated tools.
