I've got a couple of sites www.youstats.com and www.getthehelloutofmyface.com neither of which seem easily, er, seo'd as far as I can tell. I'd be interested to hear about any opinions on how best to go about getting a better ranking.
First of all it would be great if you go to the Introductions forum and introduce yourself. Second, what are you trying to rank for? Are you planing to hire somebody or do you want to do seo yourself? To answer the thread question, I don't think that it is impossible to rank well for some sites, it can only be easier or harder... p.l.u.r.
Nothing is impossible. But sometimes it's just harder to do. Probably just hard to find the right keywords and get a high keyword density.
That's what I'm having trouble with, keyword density. I mean I know that's only part of the whole SEO thing, but it's quite tricky when all I have control over is the index page. I'm hoping to pick up some tips so I can do this myself
Hi locellcount, welcome to the forum! Well I would say yes it is possible to SEO youstats.com for one. It seems the onpage factors are pretty much determined by a CMS system? Well it seems the onpage factors are done pretty nicely so I do not see any problems with that. You simply need to obtain deeplink backlinks to the internal pages and to the home page. If the client is willing to work with you on keyword research for the new pages generated then you are pretty much in the pound seats. Howoever the page titles currently really suck and the default are way to long.
There could be a variety of factor which can make seo impossible, but i believe a good seo can always find a way out.
Keyword density really isn't that important. No site is impossible to SEO. Some make it harder by having flash animations, session IDs or bad navigation, but you can always add good content to a site.
yup. MattUK is right. Although it would be really hard to Optimize Full Images Sites. You have to be a really good SE expert to get those sites up the SERPs!
Hi, We have a project at sourceforge called 'mints'. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mints It tracks keyword density as you type. Working on a new version called "Strong Mints" right now. We use it together with an analysis tool (which is also free to use for the time being) that tells how many keywords are on top ranking sites. http://agentcandy.com/breezer Those tools can help if you are trying to match exact keyword densities. Be$t of luck!
Its not at all impossible, and there is a lot more to SEO then keyword density my friend. Pm me if you would like a quote from us to get you ranked!
You are perfectly correct! You also have a very nice icon. AgentCandy is only for association memberships, it is new, and it isn't supposed to rank, but the members may want your services. PM me a pricelist.
SEO's not a problem for either site. It is a problem however if you don't have a focused market segment. Decide on your business strategy first, then you can focus on your keywords.
