Is SEO for subdomains equally complicated as for domains?

    Hello,
I am currently working on a large project. However, I am a bit concerned about the SEO. I am going to have the main content on the domain(eg domain.com) and the forums on a subdomain(eg forums.domain.com). If I like to get many visitors from Google(or other search engines), is it better to keep the forums on the subdomain or rather buy a new domain(eg domainforums.com)? I want to make the forum discussions not only about the general content on my domain.com, but extend the forums even further. Please read the example below.
Lets say I have an intention of making a large website about flowers. I build a database of flowers on the domain.com. Then I decide to make a community about flowers, trees, plants and other topics about biology. Should I buy a new domain or continue using the same domain and build the forums on the subdomain to attain the best SEO results?
    Thank you,
    Deltazon

    Hello

What i suggest you is to put all content on1 domain.
Let say you have 2 main keywords:-

    1.)Buy Flowers
    2.)Type of Flowers

Optimize your index page for these two keywords & target other long tail keywords for inner pages of your website.Remember ranking for long tail keywords is easy & once you ranked your those long tail keywords , you will automatically get traffic to your whole website
