If you have a website and looking for free visitors from search engines then it may be worth it but if you dont' have a website or not looking for visitors from search engines then you don't need it. The problem with SEO is that you cannot predict the result so it is possible that after a lot of effort you don't get anything. But bring up your idea and I am sure somebody can give you a better reply. .
Does this question have to be asked? SEO is where its at as is SEM. Your site won't necessarily vanish if you don't "do" SEO but there is *always* room for improvement.
How is it? In regards to your question, some of the biggest webmasters out there are not too concered with SEO, take Shoemoney for example, he has said on numerous occasions that as long as he builds a useful tool/ website, then the SEO will take care of itself. Although it is important, I think people become too obsessed with it, when they should focus on other important aspects.
Absolutely true. Yet, there are ways of screwing up a site if SEO best practices are not put into place.
I think many people on DP spend their time and money making a dull site rank higher than it probably should, rather than making a great unique site that will stand on it's own. I've made both types of sites and life is so much simpler and easier with the latter, it's amazing. It never fails, every time I put something truly useful and unique on an otherwise ordinary site, the rankings start to pop. Try it!
SEO pays money. All the time I seee sites selling simlar products to mine for thousand more simply because they rank higher and people are too busy to search more. Remember.... there are no silly questions, only silly people... Grucho Marxx
I said it was a good thing, but not necessary. I don't know why a person wouldn't want to use SEO, but your website will not vanish if you don't use it. It will just be a lot harder to get traffic and make money.
SEO is over rated , Seo is just a part of website promotion. There are other very important factors like, how you setup your affiliate network? Dose your product or services are over priced or under priced? What is your ROI? I believe only traffic cannot make your site successful. Site need to much more organize by several factors and you must have to study the behavior of potential customer. Why PPC advertisers have a better conversion ratio than a well ranked website for a particular product or services? By seo you can drive traffic to your site but can’t convert into customer unless until you had properly work out above mention things.
SEO is really important website is useless if it's not indexed by search engine, has no better ranking and don't get a lot of traffic from it's targeted visitors.
