Is SEO easier in European countries ?

    I think french (not the country but the language) seo is less competitive than english seo, but anyway it is also less interesting if you want money and not just visitors. smaller market means less money in the pipe ;)
    By the way things are getting better since french people now starts to buy online, which is great for us...

    well, the market is growing but the competition does as well, market is just less mature and it will get as difficult as the english one if not more. Less market for more seo competitors(like in the french isp market for example)
