SEO is not dead. I didn't even try to waste my time in reading that article.... no matter SEO is evolving but not dying!
SEO is far from just submitting a website to directories or social bookmarking and it's definitely not dead. Like any other profession, it keeps evolving. If you think you are an SEO specialist because you can fix html page titles or because you can submit websites to search engines or directories, then you're missing the bigger picture.
A reputable writer wrote: "If Facebook's growth continues the way it has been, perhaps it should be considered Google's greatest threat..." I suggest you read it on http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2009/03/11/facebook-can-drive-more-traffic-than-google
SEs will not die but will be heavily dependable on social bookmaking sites. I suggest you read: "How many times has your page been bookmarked (voted for) on a major social networking site (i.e., Digg.com, LinkedIn.com, and StumbleUpon.com)?"
What is this stupid question? I am hearing this a lot. Man SEO will never be dead until we use Search Engine. SEO means search engine optimization and Until there is a Search Engine it will exist. The fact is that SEO is changing as Search Engines are becoming more intelligent.
I don't think it's dead just too hard for most. The big G tries to make it sound like it's easy for anybody and that everybody has a fair chance but I don't think so.
Lot of Poppycock agreed. When I get ready to buy something , research something or find about a topic that interests me I go to Google and I search for it. SEO will ALWAYS be alive and well for research and Ecommerce. When people want to communicate with others they have never used research tools so Social networking has taken little away
