It is easy to say not dead, it is dead, etc.

A few did contribute many useful info. The others just follow the crowd by saying that seo is alive.

    Dead, no. Changing, definitely.

Unfortunately it's not always easy to know which way it's going.

The title would work as a link bait, nothing more.

Google ranks websites by seo and more, the google spiders determine the quality quantity, and other factors, but seo plays at least half the role.

As long as internet and Search Engines continue to exist, SEO will continue. It might evolve, but it will not be dead.

    SEO = Search Engine Optimization.

Are people going to continue to use search engines to look for stuff online? Yes.

Will people need to continue to optimize their websites to rank higher in the search engines? Yes.

Therefore, SEO is not dead. As long as there are search engines, and money to be made from them, there will be search engine optimization.

    bass,

    You wrote:
"feel it begin dead because my sites can submitted to over 300 directories and bookmark.

But it can't help my sites to good position on search engines."

I appreciate your honest view unlike the others who were simply making comments
that seo is not dead because they want to be in the bigger crowd or that they
don't know what is happening .

If you see the latest trends, the Gurus are talking about how to get fast traffic
    from web 2.0 sites.

Using different IP addressees on different days, many are secretly creating multiple accounts
with bookmarking sites. They will them submit many articles to get fast traffic.

Yeah SEO is dead...and there's no more internet either! SEO is constantly changing, just a lot of work keeping up with it.

i think it is not dead. You see even without reading the blogpost it, the mere fact that the search algorithms were built to continuously change SERPs because of the variables involved in their mathematical formulas. It only means that the SEO IS NEVER DEAD.
