Is sending large amounts of money through Xoom, with PayPal secure?

Hi, it's time for me to withdraw from xoom once again.

I've done it a couple of times now, for amounts like $200 max. This results in having to withdraw multiple times.

I've done it like that because I fear having to send larger amounts, like $300-$1000 at a time. But I've seen how the fees add up, and I'm losing quite a bit of money by sending the money like I'm doing now.

I fear that, by sending, say, $800, PayPal will flag my account, limit it, and make me go through all the trouble for nothing.

Is it safe to send large amounts through Xoom with PayPal? Has anyone sent something like $500, $600, $700+? Did PayPal do anything to you?

    Thanks1

    I can't

For some stupid reason PayPal decided to support my country, without supporting any of its banks.

The only way to withdraw from PayPal directly is to make a bank account in the US, which I can because I'm a US citizen, except that I won't move back 'till 2010.

i have send $300 from my paypal to my bank using Xoom... but i been using xoom from almost 10 months now... and never had any problem sending my money from my paypal to my bank... so i guess you will not have any problem sending bigger amount.... but xoom has a limit..... so check the help file before you send the money... also try to contant Xoom to know its maximum limit... and if you can then contant paypal also to make sure you dont get limited account access for sending bigger amount......

Yeah, the maximum is $1,000 at a time.

My worries are not with Xoom, but with PayPal. I don't want to get limited

Does paypal have a limit? I didn't know.

I thought i could send 25.000$ through paypal. In fact, I was planning to buy a car (to a known person) with paypal. Can't I?

I'm assuming that you mean $25,000? Technically, you could but that would come with high security checks. It would be better if you chose another method of payment for the purchase.

You can easily send upto $1000 through xoom using your paypal without having any problem IMO. Lots of members doing this since long time. My max withdraw amount through xoom ($850) till now and that was without any problem.

    DON.

Why not to withdraw directly from your paypal account to your bank account?

Am I missing a important reason?

I sent a $700 payment, and they e-mailed me back asking for an ID and where my funds came from

I emailed them back with the requested info. Anybody got something like this? Did you got it solved?

I gave up on the call, it took forever, and it is expensive for me.

I sent all the info through their form, not by fax.

    Let's see what happens :(
