Is SEMPO the way to go for SEO training?

I'm trying to see if a certification and/or training program is worth the expense. SEMPO does SEO training for $1,400... some of it looks good, but for a purely online curriculum I'm sort of skeptical. Has anyone done this course before? Is the membership worth it for any other reasons?

    Thanks--

I think you are better off taking some time off from work, and just reading around these forums and articles.

Then slowly build a portfolio. No need for certification.

You want to learn about SEO? then maybe Dan Thies' ebook "SEO faststart" might help; just google it. This assumed I read you correctly...
