If I have got some links from same IP for my sites is it valuable for my site or not. Please tell me............
Links are Links... Providing that they come from a good content source and are relevant then it is fine. WHY DO I SAY THIS? I am the owner of a website hosting company; and "shared hosting" accounts have very similar IP Addresses so Google might see them as part of the same "Sub-Net"; just like all other hosting companies do. This is why Google would not be bothered about the IP's so much; because otherwise Google would be penalizing other domain names hosted on a shared hosting server. The domain name is what plays a part; aswell as the content, and whether or not the links are Do-Follow or not.
This has always been a point of discussion. As far as I know you need to have links from all the various sources possible. And not from just 1 kind.
This is absolutely incorrect. IPs play very little or no role in the ranking of a website or a value of a link. Please read what intellimaster posted. 1+ there
If I am getting links from same IP and relevant sites will those links will be valuable for my site? Please tell me. I also want to how will get more links for my site?
It is totally wrong that Google does not consider IP factor for ranking. Google DOES consider IP factor; and getting incoming links from same IP is NOT a big thing. May be it helps in a few ways, but links from different IPs are more worthy. And to prove it, visit GetAFreelance.com and search projects in Backlinks. Most clients on are not asking for a C-Class IP backlinks. WHY! Because of its minimum reputation. (Google "C Class IP"). This usually happens when multiple web directories/sites are hosted on the same hosting IP. Try to submit your websites in different web directories, article directories, participate in forums, blog commenting and PR sites. There are number of ways you can get backlinks from different IPs; so why worry about it. Enjoy,
Best links: - Relevant sites/content - Less outbound links on the page where you are getting you backlink - Good quality site (traffic, Google PR, age, etc.) - IP address - C Class The search engines see the first link coming from a site, as listed above as great, but if you are getting many links from the same IP and C class and/or even the same site, these links are still valuable, but at a much reduced rate as it appears more like just a sitewide link (maybe paid). So, at the end of the day it is more important to get 2 different backlinks from two different websites that are relevant, good quality and are on different IP and C classes than it is to get 100 links from the same site or sites on the same IP and C classes.
Well as per me it won't matter as having links from same ip.Look i made a study of this and found that the site like DP can carry multiple link for a website and thus the website rank rises even though the site is new and have multiple links from same ip.
I think google has already said before, that shared hosting accounts have same IP, so if you are hosting multiple sites on the same IP and you give backlinks probably onely one of them will count. The others will be ignored,.
Internal links, within the webpage count, so why wouldn't other webpages from the same IP count? this is my stance. I have personally done this to increase the PR and Serps of my own sites.
Somebodies talking some sense at least intellimaster Never done me any harm no matter that I have read it is considered a grey hat technique - maybe so for those practising bad practises (bordering on the black hat or crossing the line) but for me has never caused any problem In fact I pretty much only do same IP same host same registrar internal links in my network so I know they are good quality safe links and don't need checking to see if they have turned to crud Spose grey hat depends on other factors involed then imho - hence why it is a GREY AREA
Hello Friend, According to search engine back links are most important but if we get links from same IP , it is not so much beneficial for us .
Thanks everybody for sharing useful information here. I have the same confusion about the links from same ip web directories. Mostly web directories are belong to same ip address. But I think back links from different ips are more important as compared to same ip.
I agree with intellimaster in this aspect. As long as the link is coming from decent neighborhood with good content etc. then you dont need to worry about links coming from the same IP, etc.
