I'm sorry, that's is a fine topic for debate but an incredibly ridiculous comparisons to base the discussion upon. Speed has very little relation to power and the differences are too many to name!
Hmm Iraq which makes the US move their troops and build up, compared to Russia who borders with Georgia. Yeah you can almost compare the 2 instances, almost.
Well America had to go to Congress about it. Then they wanted to minimize the risk of our troops so we started with strategic bombings and did not move ground troops in for a while. Russia is not wanting to do anything like a regime change. They are wanting to squash the uprising (or whatever you want to call it) and just get it over with.

That is how you're taking it, not me. To me it looks like the person posting has no clue of actual facts around both conflicts and truly believes that since Russia 'just attacked' in their eyes that they are more powerful. Either way it's a dumb ass thread.

Absolutely true. With the kind of nuclear weapons these two countries have, a war between them will finish off not just the two countries, but most other parts of the world. Scary thought.
