is "run" and "running" equal for a SE?

    Hello!

I wonder if a verb, for example run, counts as the same for a SE even though it is in different forms. Like run, running etc. Do they count as the same word for a search engine?

    EDIT: Another related question:

Does substantives like Dog count as the same word in its different forms ( Dog, Dogs)?

    Kalle :)

I'm sure about dog and dogs: both get counted as the roughly same. But if people search for the plural, the sites on top will usually have the plural more.

As for verbs - same thing probably.

I just did a search for 'religion' versus 'religions'. The same wikipedia article is on top for both, but the second result is already different.
