I got a quick question, is it ok we use RSS feeds in our website to gain better search engine traffic? If it is not good , is it dangerous? Or it is neutral.
Rss has nothing to do with seo, but only if you submit rss to rss directories or directories then you can get some traffic from search engine.
I did not get exactly what you mean ! what if we put the other RSS feeds in our websites to get the relative content in our website? It is very strange because in my native language which is Farsi or Perisan, when I search for some specific keywords google gives me some results, many of them are identical to each other, But I don't know which one is the first one. But it is obvious that they have used the RSS feeds, and they are listed in search engine for those keywords !
The RSS feeds on my sites have allowed me to organize my articles and submit them to many places free for RSS feeds in addition to places such as Google and Ask. Updating it regularly, though time consuming, has provided me with more traffic and has helped my sites grow. In my opinion, if you are blogging or regularly writing articles for your site(s), RSS feed(s) is/are a must have.
do you want to syndicate RSS from other sites on your blog/site? if yes then It will give you nothing but just a duplicate content. thats why many automatic blog are failing now days, because of google panda. its better if you don't use others rss on your blog. its not reliable.
I use an add-on called rss feed on my zen-cart site to generate rss feed for all products, special offers, new products and others. By using my rss feed link on some forums supporting RSS under my profiles, it really generates backlinks to my products' pages
In general, no. it's duplicate content. Alternatively, If you RSS an entire forum, it may be a good idea to exclude that forum via robots.txt and not include it in the sitemap.
RSS feed submission may help in crawling your content but it may cause you duplicate content on your site by which it will cause your decrease in ranking. To avoid this you should not submit your rss feed to different unreliable site.
News update, that was exactly what I was asking. I wanna submit my feeds to other web sites, I want to shows their rss content into my own website to gain more traffic from their keywords
Google is sensible, they know who posts content first. normally rss is crawled after few mins or hours by syndicaters. where as google gets quick update from sitemap from webmaster tools.
RSS Feed is Good for traffic and it keeps you always in conversation. However beware duplication cause it harms a lot and so many people has paid homage for this. So RSS feed is good.
I agree. RSS feeds also help get your pages indexed more often as search engines will crawl your pages again once new RSS feeds from your sites are out.
