Hello All, Recently, I came across with a question. I have a client who has 5 websites in different country's servers but deals with the same products. He has redirected all the websites to one single website (he used that one website as a landing page). I don't know what redirection method did he use. Now my query is, will this harm in its optimization? If it does, what would be the useful steps I should consider to make all those websites rank well on Search Engines? I am really confuse at this time. I don't know whether you people understand what I actually want to know. Well, tell me how should I start building my links? Should I point my keywords to all the five websites individually to rank well? Tell me all the useful information that is related with my query. Redirection Vs SEO. I hope I didn't confuse any of you. I hope to get your help. Thank you. Gaurav Manandhar
Well, if the redirect is a 301 (moved permanently) then it should be no problem. Here a tut for 301 redirects webconfs.com/how-to-redirect-a-webpage.php
If he had 5 websites in different countries, all with their own Google ranking. Then was your client using them as a link wheel to point to his landing page, which is a good idea. Someone will correct me here, but I don't see the value in a 301 redirect from 5 diverse sites to a landing page. Each of those sites will be ranked in Google local for their countries and can pass link juice back to landing page. That would give diverse, relevant links from 5 countries. Seems like a good strategy to me. I would be building links to each of those sites because they all point back to the landing page, as well as building links to landing page itself.
Thank you all. It was a great help from you all. Next, should I build backlinks to each of five websites individually to have a top SERP results for countrywise top ranking for each keywords? Thank you.
