Is quantity a good thing?

IS it better to have a lot of ads or just the right amount?

 

The position is important. Place where your readers can CLEARLY see them. You can use any amount of ads (within the TOS) to achieve highest possible CTR.

 

One in right place is better three on the wrong position.

 

Having too many ad units doesn't mean you will have more earning. In contrast, this will scare away your visitors as they may think it is a MFA site.

 

an ads flood will bring bad surfing feeling.

 

having too many ads mean your one ad unit is competing against another one. say you have 3 text ads and 3 link units, not all of them will pay the same. and your visitor might end up clicking on the ad that pays low. so when it comes to adsense, less is often more. usually 2 properly placed ad unit is good enough

 

I think the real thing that matters is the placement of ads not the quantity.
