I'm going to be launching a new site soon and I have a fairly large budget to market it. One of the first things I am going to do is get a press release out. Is prweb.com still the best place to do it?
yes, it's good! also go here: http://www.ap.org http://www.prnewswire.com http://www.pr.com http://www.prweb.com http://www.marketwire.com http://www.businesswire.com http://www.prleap.com http://www.prfree.com http://www.i-newswire.com http://www.free-press-release.com
It's not the "best" and certainly not the "leading" distribution method. It's just the most commonly used by webmasters. If you plan to upgrade, it's reasonably effective for what it is. For free releases, you're better with www.PR.com b/c at very least you'll get into Google news w/o an upgrade fee. But PRweb is getting rid of free distribution this month anyway.
hey if you donot mind , will you disclose , how many website visits are you getting per Article submitted to news site .
Press releases aren't about direct visits. If that's what you're looking for, the article directory route would suit you better. That's because press releases and newswires aren't really tailored to your end user/reader. For the most part they're tailored to journalists who in turn hopefully cover your news story, which is then what actually sends larger numbers of direct readers your way. You can get a few hundred to a few thousand direct visits (not reads on PRweb, but actual visits to the site, not the release) depending on where you distribute and how much you upgrade - b/c if they're in google news, yahoo news, etc. some readers will find you directly through those sources. But you'll get more visitors if you focus on strictly newsworthy information that would be worthy of media pickups, b/c those visitors will come from the blogs and other outlets who publish your story.
I didn't want to steal it -) LOL, just wanted to share also with people! We are here to help each other, right?s
we issued a PR on our sema show link and it got picked up on google news pretty quickly and on some other sites.
I used http://www.marketwire.com http://www.businesswire.com http://www.prleap.com They seems to be good
