Is press release really helpful???

Hi everybody,

I m launching my new website and thinking to have a press release. But I
am not sure whether it will help me Please share your experience
with press release and also tell what are the best websites to have a press release???

 

of course press release helps. here's how:

1. with press release your site will have more and regularly updated texts for google
2. your visitors will understand that this site is well maintained even though few will carefully read them
3. by keep doing this, you will finally catch attention

stumble, digg, delicious, etc, they are good for you to publish

I've been doing some research and a single press release has seemed to help out quite a few other sites I've looked up. They also added lots of stories to digg, propeller, reddit etc.

 

I think thay are helpful. I release PRs when I launch a site, introduce new features or make major changes. They've worked for me.
