i have done press release for one of my websites. i have got a very few traffic form it. is press release is still good for having high traffic? how effective is press release now as a seo technique?

Yes Press Release is still good for traffic. Specially when you launch any new thing or product about your website. Then to give awareness about this new thing to the user, Press Release is the best way. The second one you can adopt to prepare a Newsletter.

 

Press release is a complete flop show for me for getting traffic.
Because its very difficult to get your PR published on the right place.

In my opinion, use of PR should be restricted to distributing news to your audience... PR will not give you huge success in generating traffic.
