    Hi,

I have a PR 2 website. Earlier it was ranking in top 20 results for a very competitive keyword but for last one month it is 45-50. Can anyone tell me what happened to my ranking?

1st thing is PR and SERPS have no connection with each other both are different things. And here are several reason for your site ranking going down, most common reason is your competitive is doing well compare to you or you done something wrong which google don't like it etc etc.

Solution: First check your complete website, broken links, outbound links, content etc. and regular add fresh content on your site and update your content and get relevant and quality back links from high PR sites, don't sell links from your site.

If you were to sell link. Try add "rel=nofollow" in front of the links where you sold if any. This will retain your PR juice.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose for someone who is buying a link. I know if I wanted to buy a link on someone's site, I wouldn't be keen on them placing a nofollow tag on my link. The whole point of buying links is to GET that PR juice.

How old is the site? and What is the URL? With these, we can give you better information.
